Quordle Weekly Challenge: Hints and Answers
One set of four words holds all week, Monday through Sunday. The guesses are not the tight part. The clock is different, not the math, and that changes how you should actually play it.
Open the hints below one step at a time, on whichever day of the week you’re on. All four answers can be revealed in any order. For a puzzle that resets tomorrow instead of next Monday, play Quordle instead.
How the Weekly Challenge works
All four boards are visible at once, the same as the standard daily puzzle. You get nine guesses, and you can solve the four boards in any order. Nothing about the rules themselves changes.
What changes is the calendar. A new set appears every Monday at midnight in your own time zone. That same set stays live through the following Sunday night. Everyone solving on Wednesday is looking at the same four words as everyone who solved on Monday.
On the real game, the Weekly Challenge only unlocks after you solve that day's standard puzzle first. This page has no login or streak to check, so the puzzle below is simply open. If the basic tile rules are still new, they sit on our how to play Quordle page.
The guess math is not what makes this hard
Nine guesses, four boards, solve in any order. That is not a twist. That is the standard game, unchanged.
Guess budget: a flat tie
Standard, Rescue and Weekly Challenge all land at 1.75 closing guesses per board. Three identical numbers, so a chart of them would show three identical bars and say nothing. The real gap is somewhere else.
Word pool: median frequency rank
Rank every five letter word by how often it shows up in English. The median Weekly Challenge word sits more than three times further down that list than the median Standard word. That gap is the actual difficulty. The guess count was never it.

The real edge is time, not guesses
The angle most players miss
Every other mode on this site resets in a day. This one gives you seven. Walking away and coming back tomorrow is not giving up here. It is the one legitimate strategy nowhere else on the site allows.
A daily puzzle punishes hesitation. Stall too long and the puzzle changes under you at midnight. A weekly puzzle does not. The same four words are waiting on Thursday exactly as they were on Monday.
That changes what a smart guess looks like. On a daily board, every guess should try to move you toward a solve right now. On a weekly board, an early guess that only narrows the field is a completely reasonable use of a day. You are not racing a clock inside the game. You are racing a clock made of actual days.
Use that. Make your two openers, read what came back, then stop. Come back the next day with fresh eyes rather than guessing five more times in one sitting out of impatience.
How to actually use a week
Write down what you know before you close the tab. A week is long enough that Monday's greens and yellows are easy to forget by Thursday. A single line of notes, confirmed letters, ruled out letters, per board, is enough.
Spend real thought on each guess rather than firing them off in a burst. You are not saving guesses for later in the week, since the count does not reset. But a guess made carelessly on Tuesday is still a guess you cannot take back on Saturday.

On the real game, that is how the Weekly Challenge unlocks. Here, there is no login or streak to check, so the puzzle is open without that step.
Is the Weekly Challenge harder than the standard puzzle?
The guess math is identical. The words are drawn from a harder pool, and that is where the real difficulty sits.
Can I stop and come back the next day?
Yes. The same four words hold all week, so nothing about the puzzle changes if you leave and return later.
What happens when the week ends?
A new set replaces it at midnight on Monday. Any boards left unsolved from the old week stay unsolved.
Do the words change during the week?
No. Monday, Wednesday and Sunday all show the exact same four words here.
