About Us

We are a small team of developers who built Quordle.uk because we wanted a free, unlimited word game with no daily cap and no account required. This page tells you who we are and what we stand for.

Who we are

A Small Independent Team

We are developers and word game fans. We do not work for a large company. We build things we want to use ourselves.

We came across Quordle in 2022 and loved the format immediately. Four words at once on a single keyboard felt genuinely clever. We wanted to play more than once a day. So we built a version where we could.

Everything on this site is built and maintained by the same small team. We write the code, manage the word list, and respond to every message ourselves.

Why we built it

We Wanted No Limits

The original Quordle gives you one puzzle per day. That works for a habit but not for practise.

Some players want to run the same strategy multiple times. Some discover the game at night and do not want to wait until tomorrow. Some want to play a few rounds with a friend sitting next to them.

Quordle.uk removes those restrictions. Play once, play ten times, play whenever you want. The rules are identical to the original. The only difference is that you are never locked out.

What we believe

Three Things We Do Not Compromise On

We agreed on these before we wrote a single line of code.

Free means free

No ads. No premium tier. No paywall. The full game is free for everyone.

Fast and simple

The site loads fast. The game starts immediately. Nothing gets in your way.

Your data stays yours

Stats are stored in your browser only. No account. Nothing sent to our servers.

The word list

Fair Words Only

We reviewed the word list carefully before launch. Proper nouns, offensive terms, and obscure words were all removed.

What remains is over 1,900 answer words drawn from everyday English. Every answer should be something you could have found with better thinking, not something you had no chance of knowing.

We update the list when players report words that feel unfair. If you spot one, email us at [email protected] and we will look at it.

Our commitment

What You Can Count On

The game will stay free. There is no plan to run ads or introduce a paid tier.

We fix bugs quickly. We test across browsers and devices before releasing any changes.

We read every message. If something is wrong or something could be better, we want to know about it. Reach us at [email protected] and we reply within one business day.
