The basics
What Cookies Are
Cookies are small text files that a website saves to your browser when you visit. They are used for different purposes: keeping you logged in, remembering preferences, measuring traffic, and serving targeted ads.
Not all websites use all types of cookies. Quordle.uk uses very few and none of them are used for advertising or profiling.
Game data
Local Storage vs Cookies
The game saves your progress and statistics using browser local storage. This is different from a cookie. Local storage data stays entirely on your device, is not sent to our servers with each page request, and has no expiry date unless you clear it manually.
The two items saved are your current board state (so you can resume a game after closing the tab) and your statistics (win rate, streak, and best streak). Neither is a cookie and neither is accessible to us.

Analytics
Cloudflare Analytics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see basic traffic data such as page views, visitor countries, and device types. Cloudflare does this without setting any cookies and without building user profiles.
The data is anonymised and aggregated. We cannot identify individual visitors from it. No personal information passes between your browser and Cloudflare’s analytics service.

We do not use Google Analytics, Google Ads, Facebook Pixel, or any other advertising or retargeting tools. These are the types of cookies most websites use to track users across the internet. We have chosen not to use them.
We do not use any third party scripts that set cookies without your knowledge. Every cookie listed in the table above is the complete list for this site.
Your control
How to Manage Cookies
You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Each browser handles this differently but the options are usually found under Privacy, Security, or Site Settings.
Blocking or deleting cookies on this site will not affect your ability to play the game. Game data is stored in local storage, not cookies. Deleting cookies and deleting local storage are separate actions in your browser settings.
To clear your game data specifically, go to your browser’s site data or local storage settings and remove data for quordle.uk.
Updates and contact
Changes to This Policy
If we ever add new cookies to the site, we will update this page first and change the date at the top. We will not add advertising or tracking cookies without making that change visible here.
