Why this only searches quordle.uk’s own word list
Most word finders run one huge dictionary shared across a dozen different games. That list can include words your actual Quordle game won’t accept.
This tool searches the exact same list our game does. Anything it suggests is guaranteed to work if you type it in. Switch to “Possible answers” to search only the pool that can actually be the hidden word, or “All accepted words” to include guess-only words too.

How to use each field
You know exactly where a letter is
Type it in that box. Leave the rest blank. “_RA_E” means position 2 is R, position 3 is A, position 5 is E.
You know a letter is in the word, not where
Add it here. The word can have it in any position. Type a letter twice to require two of it.
You know two letters sit next to each other
This is stricter than “must contain.” AR here means A immediately followed by R.
If your clues contradict each other
The tool tells you exactly which fields disagree instead of just showing zero results.

Five letter word finder: quick answers
What does the blank box mean?
A blank position box means you don’t know that letter yet. Only fill in the positions you’re sure about.
How do I search for a letter appearing twice?
Type it twice in the “Must contain” field, like “E E”. The tool requires at least two of that letter in the result.
What’s the difference between “must contain” and “contains sequence”?
Must contain only cares that the letters appear somewhere, in any order. Contains sequence requires them adjacent, in that exact order.
Why do other word finders show more results than this one?
Most other tools search a much bigger generic dictionary. This one only searches quordle.uk’s own list, so every result is guaranteed to work in our actual game.
Is every word this tool finds a valid Quordle guess?
